Singapore Leads with 230% Surge in Bahrain Passenger Numbers

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has released its December 2024 passenger growth statistics, highlighting significant increases compared to December 2023.

India emerged as a key destination, recording 9,887 passengers—a remarkable 36% increase. Qatar followed with 45,902 passengers, reflecting an 18% growth rate. Singapore saw the most dramatic rise, with 10,515 passengers marking an impressive 230% surge. Saudi Arabia (KSA) also reported notable growth, with 10,615 passengers representing a 37% increase. Pakistan recorded 12,454 passengers, a growth of 31% from the previous year.

In addition, the Ministry disclosed comprehensive statistics for passenger, aircraft, and cargo movements in December 2024. The total passenger movement reached 772,770, while aircraft movement totaled 8,538. Cargo and mail volume amounted to 34,218 tons.

These figures demonstrate the sustained growth in Bahrain's aviation sector, underscoring the nation's pivotal role as a regional hub for travel and logistics.
