RCSI Bahrain Appoints Professor Husain Nasaif as Director of MSc in Nursing Programme

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) – Medical University of Bahrain has announced the appointment of Professor Husain Nasaif as Director of the Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing Programme.

Professor Nasaif, an Associate Professor in Nursing at RCSI Bahrain, brings a wealth of academic and clinical expertise to his new role. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, USA, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing. Additionally, he has undergone advanced training in leadership and knowledge synthesis through prestigious programmes at Harvard Medical School and the University of Toronto.

Since joining RCSI Bahrain in 2009, Professor Nasaif has held several key leadership positions, including Director of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing (Hons) Programme and Director of the Nursing Bridging Programme. His dedication to academic leadership and nursing education has significantly contributed to the enhancement of the university’s nursing curriculum.

As Director of the MSc in Nursing Programme, Professor Nasaif will focus on developing specialised postgraduate nursing programmes that integrate cutting-edge research and knowledge. Collaborating with the School of Nursing & Midwifery, he aims to elevate the academic and professional standards of nursing education. He will also continue his research in advanced nursing practice, workforce health and wellbeing, men’s health, and the evaluation of nursing education systems.

Commenting on the appointment, Professor Sameer Otoom, President of RCSI Bahrain, said:
