The Bahrain Society for Private Training Institutes (BSPTI) has reaffirmed its dedication to advancing quality assurance in vocational education, following its participation in a workshop organized by the Education and Training Quality Authority.
The workshop, designed to acquaint BSPTI members with the general framework for evaluating vocational education and training institutions, also provided insights into the Authority’s review procedures. This initiative reflects the strong partnership between BSPTI and the Authority, emphasizing their shared commitment to enhancing the quality and outcomes of Bahrain’s vocational training sector.
Attendees were presented with the Authority’s strategic priorities, alongside recent initiatives developed in collaboration with key stakeholders to bolster the vocational education landscape in the Kingdom.
Nawaf Mohammed Al-Jishi, President of BSPTI, lauded the Authority’s efforts in raising the standards of vocational training. He emphasized the critical role of quality assurance in fostering human development and driving national progress. "BSPTI is committed to maintaining close collaboration with the Education and Training Quality Authority to propel Bahrain’s vocational training system forward," said Al-Jishi. "Our priority is to elevate the quality and efficiency of training institutes, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement in alignment with established quality policies and regulations."
Al-Jishi also pointed out that Bahrain’s training institutes are adapting their programs to meet evolving labor market needs, ensuring that Bahraini professionals receive world-class training that enhances their career prospects across various industries.
Highlighting the role of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), Al-Jishi described it as a vital system for classifying qualifications based on learning outcomes. The NQF promotes quality, transparency, and mobility across educational and professional pathways, enabling the comparison and recognition of qualifications both nationally and internationally.
He further commended the Authority’s efforts in streamlining evaluation procedures within its quality assurance framework. "This commitment underscores the Authority’s pivotal role in fostering excellence within Bahrain’s vocational training landscape, ensuring institutions meet the highest standards and contribute effectively to the Kingdom’s development goals," Al-Jishi added.
The workshop marked another step forward in the collaborative journey of BSPTI and the Education and Training Quality Authority, reinforcing their shared vision for a robust and dynamic vocational education sector in Bahrain.
