HH Shaikh Khalid Chairs First Meeting of Supreme Organizing Committee for 3rd Asian Youth Games

Highlighting the committee’s dedication, His Highness praised the competence and expertise of the Supreme Organizing Committee members, whose collective efforts will be instrumental in the successful execution of the Asian Youth Games, which will be hosted in Bahrain for the first time. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between various ministries and government bodies to ensure the smooth operation of the tournament. This includes providing all necessary facilities and services to deliver an outstanding experience for participants and visitors, while reflecting Bahrain’s strong reputation in hosting world-class sports events.

The meeting also saw the appointment of Mr. Youssef Duaij as Chairman of the Executive Committee and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Ghaffar as Vice Chairman, both of whom are esteemed members of the Supreme Organizing Committee.

In addition to discussing organizational structures, the committee underscored the need for readiness across all sports facilities, ensuring that the accommodations for delegations are in place, and preparing comprehensive plans for the working committees. The registration process for participants, in coordination with the Asian Olympic Council, was also a key topic of discussion. With less than ten months remaining until the tournament’s opening, the committee remains focused on completing all logistical arrangements and ensuring every aspect of the event is meticulously planned.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid concluded the meeting by wishing all members of the Supreme Organizing Committee continued success in their efforts to make the 3rd Asian Youth Games a resounding success.
