The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has successfully carried out a comprehensive series of inspection campaigns, resulting in the deportation of 398 violators over the past 25 days. From January 19 to 25, 2025, the LMRA conducted 674 inspection visits across Bahrain, focusing on monitoring adherence to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws.
Out of the 674 inspections, 192 individuals were found violating regulations and subsequently deported. In addition, 29 violators were detained for further legal action. The inspections also revealed several instances of non-compliance with labor laws, which prompted the LMRA to take swift and decisive legal measures to address these breaches.
A significant portion of the inspections—661 visits—targeted businesses and commercial establishments throughout Bahrain's governorates. Additionally, 13 joint inspection campaigns were conducted, with eight taking place in the Capital Governorate, three in Muharraq, and one each in the Northern and Southern Governorates.
These rigorous enforcement actions are part of the LMRA’s ongoing efforts to maintain a secure and regulated labor market, ensuring that all workers and employers abide by the Kingdom's legal standards. The LMRA continues to strengthen its monitoring capabilities to safeguard the rights of legal workers while ensuring fair practices within Bahrain’s labor market.
