HH Major General Shaikh Nasser Inaugurates Bahrain’s First National Defence and Security Forum

His Highness Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at enhancing military and security integration. This, he emphasized, remains a strategic priority for establishing security on national, regional, and international levels, under the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

His Highness made these remarks while inaugurating the National Defence and Security Forum titled “Strategic Integration: Challenges and Opportunities.” The forum aligns with His Majesty King Hamad’s strategic vision and has been organized under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser, with the active follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The event was also attended by His Highness Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force, along with distinguished national leaders.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser noted that this forum, the first of its kind in Bahrain, aims to exchange perspectives and strategies to sustain and strengthen the ongoing strategic integration among various military and security sectors. This initiative is rooted in the royal vision of fostering collaboration to empower Bahrain’s defense framework and enhance comprehensive security, ultimately contributing to peace and stability.

Expressing optimism about the forum’s outcomes, His Highness Shaikh Nasser hoped the discussions and recommendations would align with His Majesty the King’s aspirations. He also praised the support and guidance of His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force, in advancing strategic integration across military and security sectors.

His Highness extended profound gratitude to the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, Ministry of Interior, National Intelligence Agency, and the Strategic Security Agency for their constructive contributions to the forum’s success. He acknowledged their relentless efforts in achieving milestones that have reinforced the nation’s security foundations, attributing these achievements to the collaborative work of various governmental institutions in the Kingdom.

The forum serves as a significant step forward in fostering a unified defense and security strategy, positioning Bahrain as a key player in maintaining stability and security in the region.
