Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, the third edition of the Sustainability Forum Middle East was inaugurated today, running through January 28 and 29. With the support of the Supreme Council for Environment, the forum has brought together over 400 business leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts to address critical climate and energy challenges.

Opening the event, H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina emphasized Bahrain's dedication to fostering national and international partnerships for sustainable development. He highlighted the urgency of collaborative efforts, investments, and bold action to drive the energy transition and decarbonization goals across the MENA region.

The forum showcases the participation of over 50 leading speakers from MENA, Europe, the UK, the US, Brazil, and other regions. Key discussions include aligning business models with climate action, scaling climate finance, fostering innovation, and advancing policy frameworks to accelerate the transition toward sustainability.

On January 29, the forum will host expert-led workshops by prominent global and regional ESG and sustainability advisory firms. These sessions aim to equip participants with actionable strategies for sustainability, enhanced climate-related financial disclosures, and decarbonization initiatives, strengthening regional efforts to achieve net-zero ambitions.

The forum reinforces Bahrain’s commitment to international sustainability goals and serves as a vital platform for regional and global collaboration on climate resilience.
