Bahrain hailed as ‘leading model for interfaith talks’

Bahrain, which currently chairs the Arab League Summit, stands as a leading model for promoting interfaith and intercultural dialogue, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said.
In remarks to Italian media on the sidelines of her official visit to Bahrain and countries in the region, Meloni commended the Kingdom’s efforts in supporting principles of peaceful coexistence and civilisational dialogue.
She emphasised the significant progress in bilateral relations between Bahrain and Italy, highlighting the strategic cooperation that serves the shared interests of both nations and their peoples.
The Italian Prime Minister also noted that Bahrain’s historic reception of His Holiness Pope Francis during his 2022 visit reflects the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to enhancing understanding among various religions and cultures.
