HRH Princess Sabeeka Chairs Fourth Meeting of Supreme Council for Women

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), chaired the fourth meeting of the SCW’s eighth work cycle (2022-2025) on Wednesday at its headquarters in Riffa.
At the outset of the meeting, HRH Princess Sabeeka welcomed the council members and expressed her gratitude for the unwavering royal support extended by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the primary advocate for the SCW’s mission. She highlighted the council’s achievements in advancing Bahraini women’s contributions to national development, aligning with His Majesty’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive society.
HRH Princess Sabeeka also commended the government’s dedicated efforts under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She acknowledged the government’s continuous support and close collaboration with the SCW, ensuring alignment with national priorities.
She emphasized the significance of this first meeting of 2024, reflecting on the council’s accomplishments, including the Bahraini Women’s Day celebrations, which showcased the remarkable journey and achievements of Bahraini women.
During the meeting, HRH Princess Sabeeka praised the General Secretariat’s implementation of key initiatives, following decisions made in the third SCW meeting, particularly those related to the 2024 work priorities and the national celebrations of Bahrain’s Silver Jubilee under His Majesty’s reign.
She further highlighted the ongoing development of the National Plan (2025-2026) by a specialized committee, comprising SCW members and the General Secretariat team. The plan aims to introduce new and sustained initiatives that will bolster women’s progress, expand their participation across all sectors, and preserve their achievements, ensuring their continuous and impactful contributions to Bahrain’s development.
