The Brazilian Embassy in Bahrain, the first Latin American diplomatic mission in the Kingdom and the only Portuguese-speaking nation’s full-fledged embassy in the region, celebrated the 50th anniversary of Bahrain-Brazil relations with a grand event.
Held at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, the occasion was attended by esteemed members of the diplomatic community and the Brazilian expatriate population in Bahrain, reinforcing the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.
“The strong bond between Bahrain and Brazil remains unwavering,” said His Excellency Adriano Silva Pucci, the Brazilian Ambassador to Bahrain. He highlighted the growing number of Brazilian investors and business representatives visiting Bahrain in recent months, attributing this increase to the strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Two key ministries are currently working on defining the criteria for further development in the coming years, signaling a new phase of cooperation.
Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations and Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that trade, cultural, and economic ties remain a priority. He affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would continue to serve as a bridge for fostering stronger collaboration. The $1.3 billion bilateral trade volume between Bahrain and Brazil underscores the commitment of both nations to their partnership.
As part of the evening’s highlights, the prestigious Gulf Cup was showcased to attendees, offering a unique photo opportunity and symbolizing Bahrain’s growing presence on the international sporting stage.
