Saudi Minister of Information Tours Pearling Path in Muharraq

Saudi Minister of Information, His Excellency Salman Bin Yousef al-Dosari, along with Minister of Information Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi and Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, visited the Pearling Path site in Muharraq as part of an official trip to Bahrain. This visit is a key component of the Saudi Minister’s participation in the fourth meeting of the Coordination Committee for culture, media, tourism, and social development, which is held under the auspices of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council.
The delegation was warmly received as they toured the renowned Pearling Path, a UNESCO World Heritage site that traces the history of Bahrain’s centuries-old pearling industry. During the tour, the Saudi Minister expressed deep admiration for the historical landmarks, which vividly illustrate the depth and richness of Bahrain’s cultural heritage.
"I am truly impressed by the preservation of Bahrain’s cultural identity. The Kingdom's remarkable efforts to protect its heritage are evident throughout the Pearling Path. It’s a testament to Bahrain’s commitment to safeguarding its ancient history for future generations," His Excellency Salman bin Yousef Al Doseri remarked.
The tour included a visit to several historical houses along the path, each of which has significant historical and cultural value. Minister Al Doseri was given a detailed overview of the importance of these sites in documenting a pivotal era in Bahrain’s history. The tour underscored the deep cultural ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, as well as the shared heritage that continues to inspire both nations today.
The Pearling Path stands as a symbol of Bahrain’s maritime and pearling history, reflecting the country’s rich traditions and its crucial role in the global economy during the peak of the pearling industry.
