Derasat Center Aims to Strengthen Collaboration with Egyptian Research Centers

A delegation from the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) concluded a visit to the Republic of Egypt. The delegation was headed by Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Al-Abdulla, Executive Director of Derasat, alongside Dr. Abdulla Isa Al-Abbasi, Director of the Energy and Environment Studies Program.
During their visit, the delegation met with Mrs. Nada Al-Ajizi, Director of the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the League of Arab States. The meeting focused on ongoing cooperation between the two sides, emphasizing shared goals in sustainable development and regional collaboration.
The delegation's itinerary included a visit to the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, where they met with Dr. Ayman Al-Sayed Abdul-Wahab, Deputy Director of the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies. Dr. Al-Abdulla provided a comprehensive overview of Derasat, highlighting its latest publications, accomplishments, and recently held events. The discussion also opened avenues for potential collaboration, focusing on research initiatives and knowledge exchange.
Additionally, the Derasat delegation visited the Information and Decision Support Center, part of the Egyptian Cabinet. Here, they met with Dr. Osama El-Gohary, Assistant to the Egyptian Prime Minister and Head of the Center. This meeting further explored areas of cooperation, particularly in data analysis and the execution of studies to support stakeholders across various fields.
The visit concluded with a productive session with members of the Global Forum for Future Studies. The delegation met with Dr. Rania Abu El-Khair, the organization’s Secretary-General, where they discussed collaborative opportunities in future studies and research-oriented projects.
The visit reinforced the strong ties between Derasat and its counterparts in the Republic of Egypt, laying the groundwork for enhanced cooperation across various research sectors. Derasat looks forward to nurturing these relationships and contributing to regional strategic initiatives.
