Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 29th Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize kicked off yesterday at Al Fateh Islamic Centre. The event, organised by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, has attracted a total of 4,242 participants.

Among them, 703 have advanced to the preliminary stage. Contestants will progress through multiple rounds, starting from internal qualifiers to the final stage.

The competition features seven categories, including memorisation, recitation, and specialised contests for school students, individuals with disabilities, inmates, non-Arabic speakers, and the general public. The event aims to highlight the importance of the Holy Quran in various communities and promote its teachings across different segments of society.
