The Karzakan Coast will be revitalised for easier access, vibrant visits, and local relaxation
A BD2.56 million deal has been locked in for the revamp of Karzakan Coast, with Jahecon W.L.L. landing the job after putting in the lowest bid. The plan is to breathe new life into the shoreline, making it easier to access, more inviting for visitors, and better suited to locals keen on a spot to unwind.
MP Hanan Fardan backed the move, extending her thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for giving the green light to the Ministry of Works to put the project out for bids.
She highlighted the long-standing call for better public spaces, stating, "Karzakan Coast is a go-to spot for people in the western region. This upgrade will mean better facilities, a boost for local businesses, and a proper effort to make our shared spaces more welcoming."
Fardan also pointed out the bigger picture— a spruced-up coast draws more visitors, which means a livelier local economy.
But she stressed the need to keep the natural character of the shoreline intact, saying,
"This upgrade will mean better facilities, a boost for local businesses, and a proper effort to make our shared spaces more welcoming."
