The project is being implemented in two phases. The first phase involves the installation of 3.29 kilometers of 1,400-mm-diameter sewage pipes and 600 meters of 1,600-mm-diameter pipelines, extending from Saar Junction to Jasra Junction. The second phase will cover the area from Saar Junction to the Tubli Wastewater Treatment Plant, incorporating 2.7 kilometers of 1,600-mm-diameter pipes and an additional 2.04 kilometers of 1,800-mm-diameter pipelines.
Al Hawaj emphasized that this initiative aligns with the ministry’s vision to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of Bahrain's sewage infrastructure. The project will use advanced techniques, including horizontal directional drilling and trenching, to meet the needs of the growing population while adhering to the highest standards of infrastructure development.
