Al Noor celebrates National Day with variety programmes
Al Noor International School celebrated the National Day of Bahrain yesterday with a variety programmes ranging from various national dances, songs and lively displays, aimed at developing the students’ talents, while simultaneously providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate their love, admiration and patriotism towards the Kingdom.
The celebrations were held under the patronage of Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate. Hasan Abdulla Al Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate, attended the function.
Also present on the occasion were School Chairman Ali Hassan, Principal Rashid Mandi, Director Dr Muhammad Mashood, Vice-Principal Amin Mohammed Ahmed Hulaiwah, the head teachers of the different sections of the school, coordinators, teachers and students.
The programme started with the National Anthem followed by a recital from the Holy Quran by Abdulla Mahmood of Grade 9B, British Senior Section, and Anas Mustafa of grade 9B, Arabic Senior Section, read Duaa.
Mohsen Faisal of Grade 11B, Arabic Senior Section, and Tuba Imtiaz of AS-6 of British Section presented speeches in Arabic and English about the importance of national pride.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the dances and songs, while the traditional costumes worn by the students further enhanced the festive atmosphere.
