Glittering show by Asian School kids
The Asian School Bahrain celebrated the 44th National Day of Bahrain yesterday on the school premises. Class X students Fathima Jawad and Naureen Khan hosted the programme.
It started with a short poem in Arabic recited by Ebtism, the seniormost Arabic teacher. The students of Classes III to IX organised a cultural programme. There were various songs and dances in Arabic. School Principal Molly Mammen gave a speech highlighting the importance of this day and dedicating the celebration to the people of Bahrain.
All the students and staff came dressed in red and white going by the colours of the Bahrain National flag.
The highlight of the event was the students’ parade around the campus to the tunes of ‘I love Bahrain’ waving Bahrain National flag.
