The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) carried out 1,137 inspection campaigns and visits between February 2 and February 8, 2025. These efforts resulted in the identification of 30 illegal workers, while 124 violators were deported during the same period.
The inspections also led to the detection of several violations related to various regulatory laws, particularly the LMRA Law and the Residency Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal measures were taken against all identified infractions.
According to the LMRA, a total of 1,125 inspection visits were conducted across commercial establishments in all governorates. Additionally, 12 joint inspection campaigns were carried out, including eight in the Capital Governorate, two in Muharraq Governorate, and one each in the Northern and Southern Governorates. These operations were conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs, along with security directorates in the respective governorates.
The LMRA reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing coordination with government agencies to intensify inspection campaigns across the Kingdom. These efforts aim to curb violations, safeguard the stability and competitiveness of the labour market, and protect the country’s economic and social security.
The authority reiterated its call for public support in combating illegal labour practices. It urged citizens and residents to report any labour law violations through the official LMRA website (www.lmra.gov.bh), the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), or by contacting the LMRA call center at 17506055.
