Martyrs should be etched in memory, says Shaikh Nasser

His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that the directives of His Majesty the King was to extend the memory of martyrs, which marks the conscience of the leadership and the people for martyrs, and their sacrifices towards their country and nation. 

He pointed out that the Bahrain Martyrs Day is celebrated in recognition of the Kingdom’s status for their spirit, dignity and freedom to defend their Kingdom in the name of truth and justice.

HH Shaikh Nasser announced that HM the King called to commemorate the martyrs of the Kingdom as they are a source of pride, recognition and loyalty sacrificing their lives to perform their national duty in preserving security and stability. 

They also sacrificed their lives in the mission of the Bahrain Defence to restore the legitimacy in Yemen.

He said that the Bahrain Martyr’s Day is a day for the country to recognise and take pride in these martyrs bravery and pray to God to grant these soldiers mercy to rest in peace and inspire their families patience and fortitude.

HH Shaikh Nasser expressed that “We, the Kingdom of Bahrain will not forget the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs who sacrificed their lives in order to protect their home and the brothers of the Arab Gulf states and in defense of legitimacy to our Yemeni brothers.” 

He stressed that the people of Bahrain did not forget the bright models, led by the martyrs of the homeland.

HH Shaikh Nasser added that the security offered by the brave men of the Interior Ministry had made great sacrifices for the sake of the nation maintaining security and stability and will be remembered for all the loyalty.
