HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Meets UK Chief of Defence Staff

His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, met with the United Kingdom’s Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral relations and strategic defense cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, held at the UK Ministry of Defence headquarters in London, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized the strong and historic ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom across various sectors, particularly in defense and military cooperation.
Discussions focused on strengthening military relations, reaffirming the importance of long-term defense partnerships in supporting regional security and stability. Sheikh Nasser and Admiral Radakin exchanged views on regional security challenges, including joint efforts in counterterrorism and maritime security in the Gulf region.
The meeting also explored the development of military systems in both nations, with discussions on enhancing defense capabilities, joint training programs, and military exercises. Emphasis was placed on the significance of operational cooperation, particularly Bahrain’s participation in multinational operations and the alignment of military forces between the two countries.
Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser and Admiral Radakin discussed naval and aerial cooperation, reviewing ongoing initiatives to bolster maritime security in the Gulf and opportunities to expand aerial defense collaboration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed the shared vision of Bahrain and the United Kingdom for regional stability and their commitment to strengthening defense efficiency and joint coordination. They emphasized that such collaboration plays a crucial role in ensuring security and peace in the region.
