Bahrain's Foreign Minister Meets with Lebanese Counterpart in Paris to Discuss Regional Cooperation and Stability

His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, held an important meeting today with His Excellency Mr. Youssef Rji, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon, on the sidelines of the joint Arab-Western ministerial meeting focused on the situation in Syria.

The meeting, which took place in Paris, marked a moment of strong diplomatic engagement between the two nations. Minister Al Zayani extended a warm welcome to Minister Rji, congratulating him on his recent appointment as Lebanon’s Foreign Minister. He also conveyed his congratulations on Lebanon's newly elected President and the formation of the new Lebanese government, expressing hope for Lebanon's continued security, stability, and prosperity in this new political chapter.

Minister Al Zayani also briefed his Lebanese counterpart on the key outcomes of the 33rd Arab Summit, which Bahrain hosted last May. These included significant regional initiatives aimed at fostering lasting peace, enhancing Arab solidarity, and upholding human rights, particularly in terms of health, education, security, and overall well-being.

In response, Minister Rji expressed his eagerness to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Bahrain and Lebanon, aiming to broaden the scope of bilateral ties to encompass more areas of shared interest. Both ministers emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation, particularly in addressing the region’s challenges.

The discussion also centered on enhancing the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries. The ministers reiterated the importance of joint cooperation in serving mutual goals, emphasizing regional stability and the security of both nations. They exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and shared efforts to mitigate tensions and promote peace.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr. Essam Al Jassim, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the French Republic, and other members of Minister Al Zayani's delegation.

This significant diplomatic engagement reflects the continued commitment of Bahrain and Lebanon to work together for peace, security, and prosperity in the region.
