Bahrain and France Strengthen Economic Ties with Focus on ICT and Strategic Projects

Jean-Christophe Durand, President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bahrain (FCCIB), has praised Bahrain for leading the region in ICT readiness.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, where they discussed strengthening economic ties between Bahrain and France.
The minister reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing economic and investment partnerships with France, particularly in transport, telecommunications, logistics, and digital transformation.
He also highlighted the significant involvement of French companies in key strategic projects. These include Aéroports de Paris Ingénierie’s role in designing and supervising the new passenger terminal at Bahrain International Airport and the development of the new air traffic control centre, as well as Egis’ contribution to the Express Air Cargo Village project.
