BSB celebrates National Day
British School of Bahrain celebrated National Day with a variety programmes yesterday.
BSB explored and celebrated the culture and history of Bahrain with all staff members and students wearing Bahraini traditional dress or with the white and red of the national flag.
The day commenced with the formation of a red and white human heart with 500 students wearing red or white.
Board of Trustees Chairman Rashad Janahi, along with School Head Dr Charles Wall, Primary Head Brand, Seniors Head Khalil Ahmed and Board member Julie Ann Gilbert, opened an exhibition of Bahraini Art, Culture, Geography and History.
The VIPs joined the National Day celebrations with an assembly beginning with singing of the National Anthem and reading from the Quran. This was followed by a number of student activities and performances.
The highlight of the programme was a song, which celebrated the unity in BSB and in the Kingdom.
The staff and students enjoyed a number of Bahraini activities such as Laywa, Henna, Hair Braiding and Live Cooking of Bahraini dishes during the breaks period throughout the day.
