HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Prime Minister of Malaysia

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, at Gudaibiya Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strength of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia across various fields.

His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of further strengthening the Bahrain-Malaysia partnership, highlighting the promising opportunities that contribute to achieving shared goals and aspirations.

Regional and international developments, as well as issues of common interest, were also discussed.

His Royal Highness stressed the importance of supporting efforts to enhance regional and international cooperation, as they contribute to consolidating security and stability while promoting development and growth.

An official reception was held for the Prime Minister of Malaysia, during which the national anthems of Bahrain and Malaysia were played.

For his part, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and enhancing joint cooperation for the benefit of both nations and their peoples.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the Prime Minister of Malaysia and his accompanying delegation during their visit to Bahrain.

His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
