In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and under the supervision of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, Bahrain continues to expand its digital transformation initiatives.

As part of these efforts, the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA), in collaboration with the Information & eGovernment Authority, has launched six new e-services through the national portal bahrain.bh. These services include:

Updating passport details for residents and visitors

Inquiring about passport applications for residents and visitors

Canceling newborn foreign national registration requests

His Excellency Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs, emphasized the government’s commitment to providing seamless and efficient services through digital platforms. He stated that the newly introduced services aim to simplify transactions and save time for beneficiaries, eliminating the need for in-person visits to service centers.

Citizens and residents can access these services online via the national portal. For inquiries, they can contact the call center at 17077077, reach out via email at info@npra.gov.bh, or submit feedback and suggestions through the Tawasul national complaints and suggestions system, including the Tawasul app.

The launch of these services aligns with Bahrain’s broader digital transformation strategy, which seeks to introduce innovative solutions that streamline government procedures and enhance service efficiency for the public.
