The Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting today at Gudaibiya Palace, addressing key national and regional developments.
Ramadan Greetings and Regional Diplomacy
On the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, the Cabinet extended its best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Cabinet also conveyed its greetings to the people of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations, hoping for a blessed and peaceful month.
The Cabinet highlighted the significance of the recent high-level meeting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, attended by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on behalf of HM the King. The meeting, held at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, brought together key regional leaders, including UAE President HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Kuwait's Amir HH Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Qatar's Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Jordan's King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, and Egypt’s President HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Bahrain International Garden Show and Agricultural Innovation
The Cabinet reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development, commending the success of the Bahrain International Garden Show, held under the patronage of HM the King and inaugurated by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. The event showcased modern agricultural technologies, highlighting Bahrain’s advancements in sustainable farming.
Promoting Islamic Dialogue and Unity
The Cabinet emphasized the importance of the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, hosted by Bahrain under the patronage of HM the King. The conference underscored the need to promote moderate Islamic thought and foster unity within the Islamic world. Attended by over 400 scholars and religious leaders, the event was also graced by HE Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders.
Bahrain Sports Day and National Sports Initiatives
Recognizing the significance of sports in community engagement, the Cabinet praised the efforts of public and private entities in Bahrain Sports Day. Special acknowledgment was given to the General Sports Authority, led by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for organizing events that promote sports awareness across the Kingdom.
Strengthening Bahrain-Malaysia Relations
The Cabinet welcomed the visit of Malaysia’s King HM Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Prime Minister HE Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The visit was recognized as an important step in strengthening bilateral ties and fostering mutual cooperation.
Ensuring Market Stability Ahead of Ramadan
With Ramadan approaching, the Cabinet reviewed the stability of consumer goods' availability and pricing. Commending the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and private sector stakeholders, the Cabinet expressed satisfaction with efforts ensuring price stability and product availability.
Celebrating Kuwait’s National and Liberation Days
The Cabinet extended its congratulations to Kuwait on the occasion of its National and Liberation Days, wishing continued progress and prosperity to the country and its leadership under HH Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

During the session, the Cabinet approved several important memorandums, including:
Legal and Legislative Matters: Approval of draft laws on taxation agreements, trade exhibitions, and infrastructure development projects, including the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Highway Upgrade.
Foreign Affairs: Endorsement of Bahrain’s agenda for the upcoming 163rd GCC Ministerial Council Meeting.
Economic and Housing Initiatives: Approval of measures to enhance housing services for Bahraini citizens and discussions on economic cooperation with Egypt.

The 42nd Arab Interior Ministers Council meeting.
The 15th IEA-IEF-OPEC Symposium on Energy.

The World Investment Forum and the 38th GCC Youth and Sports Ministers’ Meeting.
Educational exchanges with Oman and the UAE, focusing on digital transformation in education.
The meeting concluded with discussions on Bahrain’s role in fostering regional and global cooperation, reinforcing its commitment to economic growth, social development, and international diplomacy.
