King Hamad Applauds Shaikh Khalid’s Efforts in Bahrain’s Sporting Success

In a meeting at Safriya Palace, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who was joined by the General Sports Authority’s (GSA) Board of Directors. Shaikh Khalid, in his role as Chairman of the GSA and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, presented the authority’s annual report for 2023-2024, outlining Bahrain’s latest sporting achievements.

Backing Bahrain’s Sporting Future

King Hamad praised Shaikh Khalid’s dedication to developing sports in Bahrain, highlighting key initiatives such as the Golden Generation Games, which continue to produce a new wave of talent. He also commended the GSA’s national action plan, aimed at driving long-term growth in the sector.

The King expressed his pride in Bahraini athletes who have made their mark internationally, flying the nation’s flag on some of the biggest stages. He reaffirmed his support for Shaikh Khalid’s leadership and wished him—and the country’s young athletes—continued success.
