CP attends Shaikh Isa’s graduation ceremony

Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday attended the graduation ceremony of his son, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa from the Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC).

Upon his arrival, HRH the Crown Prince was received by Captain Henry Duffy, the Commanding Officer of the BRNC. Prince Salman then inspected the Officer parade.

On the occasion, HRH the Crown Prince extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Defence Force and to HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Prince Salman also highlighted HH Shaikh Isa’s efforts during his training course, for which he received the Captain’s Award. 

HRH the Crown Prince expressed his deep pride for all Bahrainis committed to military service, particularly those serving in the navy, noting its importance in protecting Bahrain and its future development and prosperity.

Emphasising the vital role of the Bahrain Royal Naval Force (BRNF) in maintaining the Kingdom’s security, Prince Salman expressed his admiration for the BRNF and its personnel, noting that their exemplary capabilities and performance had safeguarded the country’s gains.

Speaking about bilateral ties, Prince Salman noted the long-standing strategic ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which span over 200 years and across a wide range of sectors, including military and defence.

Admiral Sir George Zambellas, First Sea Lord of the British Royal Navy, in his address noted that the establishment of a permanent British Royal Navy base in the Mina Salman port area in Bahrain was a clear demonstration of the UK’s commitment to renew its presence in the Gulf region, to tackle shared regional threats.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Faisal bin Majid Al-Bin Ali also participated in the graduation ceremony. 

 HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of HRH the Crown prince, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, President of the Court of the Crown Prince, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Brigadier Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Commander of the BRNF and a number of senior members of the Royal Family also attended the ceremony.
