Shaikh Nasser marks Commemoration Day

His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee HHShaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has said HM the King’s directives to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their nation on December 17, which coincides with the Accession Day, is a clear proof of the great respect given to those people and their high standing in the hearts of the leadership and the Bahraini people.

He paid homage to them, lauding their utmost sacrifice in defending their nation, the right and legitimacy.

He also emphasised that declaring December 17 as a Commemoration Day by HM the King is a source of pride in recognition of the enormous sacrifice made in fulfilling the national duty, maintaining stability and security in the GCC countries and defending legitimacy in Yemen.

Shaikh Nasser said that the Commemoration Day was also a tribute to the families of those who died for the nation and an opportunity to express solidarity and show the great respect of the leadership and the Bahraini people to those persons. 

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the souls of those brave soldiers in eternal peace and paradise and bless their families with patience and consolation. 

He affirmed that Bahrain would never forget them and their sacrifices which are a source of pride as they set an example of self-denial for the sake of the nation, their brethren in the GCC countries and to defend legitimacy in Yemen.
