Bahrain Paralympic Committee and Al Azm Toastmasters Celebrate Graduation of First "Athletes Leaders" Group

In a significant step toward empowering Para athletes beyond the sports arena, the Bahrain Paralympic Committee celebrated the graduation of the first group of participants in the "Athletes Leaders" program, held in collaboration with Al Azm Toastmasters Club. The ceremony, which took place at Isa Sports City - Hall D, was attended by His Excellency Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee.
The "Athletes Leaders" program is designed to develop leadership and communication skills among Para athletes, equipping them with the confidence and expertise to take on greater roles in sports and society. Through intensive training, participants enhanced their public speaking, self-expression, and leadership abilities, positioning themselves as ambassadors in both their athletic and social endeavors.
Al Azm Toastmasters Club played a key role in delivering specialized training in communication, persuasion, and public speaking, enabling participants to express themselves with confidence and professionalism. The program featured several outstanding Para athletes, including Hassan Isa Aldarazi, Yousif Ahmed Abdulla, Ahmed Saleh Ahmed, Hussain Juma Sawar, Mohamed Shawkat Hassan, Ali Fadhel Abbas, Majda Saad Mohamed, Latifa Abdullah Ebrahim, Ali Ahmed Al Samahiji, and Yousif Ali Yousif, all of whom demonstrated remarkable progress.
The Bahrain Paralympic Committee reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Para athletes in all aspects of life, emphasizing that this initiative reflects its broader vision of enhancing leadership and social impact opportunities for athletes with disabilities. The committee also commended Al Azm Toastmasters Club for its instrumental role in providing practical training that significantly contributed to the participants' skill development.
The graduation of this first cohort marks an important milestone in the development of Para athletes in Bahrain. The Bahrain Paralympic Committee and Al Azm Toastmasters Club plan to expand their collaboration, introducing more programs and initiatives that equip Para athletes with the skills they need to become influential leaders both on and off the field.
