His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, said Bahrain has come a long way in strengthening its training system, developing skills, and ensuring the labour market benefits from capable Bahraini workers across private sector firms.

He pointed to the role businesses play in refining workplace skills through steady professional training, drawing on the programmes run by the Ministry of Labour and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

Shifts

These efforts, he noted, are aimed at sharpening the abilities of Bahraini workers in private firms and keeping them ready for the shifts in job patterns and workplace needs.

His remarks came during a ceremony for graduates of the Professional Certificate in Human Resources Management from various private sector institutions.

The event was organised by Origin Group in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Bahrain Society for Human Capital Management.

Among those attending were Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Banna, Origin Group’s CEO, as well as specialists and human resources figures from public and private organisations. The graduates were awarded a professional qualification from SHRM, covering various areas of strategic human resources management. Shaikh Khalifa presented certificates to the graduates and wished them success in their careers.
