In a significant initiative during the holy month of Ramadan, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has approved the distribution of 1.2 million copies of the Holy Qur’an and its interpretations in 79 languages across 45 countries.

The initiative, part of King Salman’s program for gifting Qur’an copies, is being implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in collaboration with Islamic and cultural centers, as well as religious attaché offices at Saudi embassies abroad, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, expressed his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued support of Muslims worldwide. He emphasized that the Qur’an copies are of the highest quality and are meticulously produced to ensure clarity and accessibility for readers.

Al-Asheikh highlighted that this initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to spreading the Qur’an’s message and enabling Muslims worldwide to benefit from its teachings, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan. He also noted the leadership’s commitment to promoting Islamic values of tolerance and coexistence.

Preparations for shipping the Qur’an copies to beneficiary countries have been completed, with distribution coordinated through religious attaché offices, ministry-affiliated centers, and various Islamic councils and organizations. The initiative ensures that copies reach their intended recipients in a timely manner throughout Ramadan.
