Indian Club brawl: organisers requite
Event organisers compensated for the damage caused by the rampage of some people at the Indian Club venue on Wednesday night.
Two persons were reportedly injured, when a group went on rampage at the Indian Club Bahrain, which was the venue for a Bangladeshi concert.
The miscreants vandalised the building and its properties after the two artistes, who were supposed to perform at the venue, failed to show up.
Indian Club President Anand Lobo told DT News that the club had rented out the premises for conducting a musical programme, as part of Bahrain National Day celebrations. He said though he was not there at the time of the incident. However, he said lodged a complaint as soon as he came to know about it.
According to eyewitnesses, the group vandalised chairs, tables and banners inside the venue.
A video of the incident shot from the top of the adjacent building went viral on News of Bahrain and Dt News Facebook page.
The show was held under the banner of a famous advertising and publicity agency in Bahrain.
