5-star hotel asked to pay dues to sacked manager

A local five-star hotel has been asked to pay BD17,828 to its former General Manager, who was sacked following some sex allegations.

The Asian man won the lawsuit he filed at a labour court against his former employer on the grounds of arbitrary sacking. The court termed the amount to be paid as his dues that haven’t been given to him after he was relieved from his duties as General Manager.

The judges, however, upheld his termination due to his misbehaviour towards the employees and sexual abuse of several female staff.

They have also cleared the hotel from arbitrarily sacking the plaintiff.

The hotel management had earlier accused the plaintiff of not fulfilling his duties, giving false promises to customers and damaging the hotel’s reputation.
