The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has officially inaugurated the "From Hand to Hand – 100-Years-New Craft" exhibition at the Bahrain National Museum, as part of the ongoing 19th Spring of Culture Festival.

The prestigious opening ceremony was attended by Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Okai Asako, alongside senior BACA officials, dignitaries, and prominent cultural figures.

Organized in collaboration with Chawan Authentic Japanese Tea House, Budoor Steele, and Hanai Suzuki, the exhibition is supported by the Embassy of Japan in Bahrain along with several corporate sponsors. It serves as a tribute to Japanese craftsmanship, featuring the work of five Shokunin (master artisans) who exemplify the balance between tradition and modernity in their craft.

Divided into five sections, the exhibition explores various facets of Japanese craftsmanship, from intricate ceramics and metal weaving to meticulously crafted tea canisters, wooden tubs, and pottery. It offers visitors a unique perspective on how traditional techniques have evolved to meet contemporary design and functionality.

The exhibition will run until March 28, 2025, and is open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Bahrain National Museum. It welcomes visitors of all ages, offering an immersive cultural experience that bridges the past and present of Japanese artistry.
