Advanced Systems Enhance Pilgrim Experience at the Grand Mosque During Ramadhan

In a bid to provide optimal comfort and tranquility for worshipers and Umrah performers during the holy month of Ramadhan, the Grand Mosque has integrated advanced systems designed to cater to the massive influx of pilgrims.
The systems, aimed at enhancing the overall experience, include state-of-the-art cooling and lighting units, along with a highly precise sound system that covers all areas of the mosque. Additionally, regular maintenance ensures that all facilities function seamlessly, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques highlighted that the Grand Mosque operates one of the largest cooling systems globally, with an impressive capacity of 155,000 tons. This advanced system ensures that the mosque remains cool and comfortable for the millions of visitors during Ramadhan.
In terms of lighting, the Grand Mosque boasts 120,000 lighting units, strategically placed to provide adequate illumination for both worshipers and visitors. Furthermore, the mosque is equipped with a cutting-edge sound system, carefully distributed across its three expansions and courtyards, ensuring that prayers and announcements are heard clearly throughout the premises.
These advancements are part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enhance the pilgrim experience, ensuring that they can perform their rituals in an environment that prioritizes both comfort and convenience.
