Minister inspects rainwater drainage efforts

Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, conducted a tour of various areas to assess the efforts made to drain rainwater. He evaluated emergency response operations and coordinated with the Capital Trustees Board and municipal councils.
Al Mubarak emphasized the crucial role of municipal councils in addressing water accumulation and highlighted the importance of ongoing coordination to set priorities. He assured that emergency teams are working around the clock to keep roads clear. Additionally, he stressed the importance of continued collaboration with key agencies such as the Ministry of Works and Civil Defence to minimize the impact of rainfall.
The ministry has also set up a hotline (80008188) for reporting water pooling on internal roads.
