Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Applauds Bahrain’s Space Sector Breakthrough

The Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved a significant milestone in its space exploration ambitions with the successful deployment of the "Al Munther" satellite into orbit. The achievement underscores the dedication of Bahraini professionals and their commitment to advancing the Kingdom’s presence in the global space sector.

Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Chairman of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), hailed the launch as a testament to the tireless efforts of the NSSA team. He highlighted that the agency has now commenced the satellite’s initial operational phase, which includes in-orbit system testing.

On this occasion, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, as well as Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council.

He praised the leadership and vision of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, noting that his guidance has played a crucial role in inspiring excellence and dedication in serving the Kingdom.

Shaikh Khalid bin Ali reaffirmed the NSSA Board of Directors' commitment to advancing Bahrain’s space sector through strategic investments in human capital, the launch of key initiatives, and collaborations with leading space agencies and specialized companies. He emphasized that such partnerships will enhance Bahrain’s global footprint in space science and technology, aligning with the Kingdom’s broader vision for scientific and technological advancement.

Expressing gratitude to NSSA members, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali lauded their dedication to advancing space sciences in Bahrain and their efforts in executing the agency’s projects. He noted that the successful deployment of "Al Munther" is only the beginning of a series of future achievements that will propel Bahrain further in the field of space exploration, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to continuous innovation and excellence.
