Bahrain, Saudi Arabia Strengthen Transport Ties

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications of Bahrain held a virtual meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority to discuss enhanced collaboration in the transport sector. The meeting was co-chaired by Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post, and Fawaz bin Zan’aaf Al Sahli, Vice President for the Regulatory Sector.
Discussions centered on strengthening transport cooperation, exchanging technical and regulatory expertise, and advancing joint initiatives in infrastructure, digital transformation, and logistics. Both sides underscored the importance of fostering connectivity and aligning regulatory frameworks to facilitate seamless cross-border transportation.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed key developments related to land connectivity, the Unified Land Transport System, and the progress of the GCC railway project. These discussions align with Bahrain-Saudi coordination efforts and broader regional integration initiatives aimed at enhancing transportation networks and economic cooperation within the Gulf region.
