First Responder for Ambulance Motorcycle Achieves Remarkable Success

The First Responder for Ambulance Motorcycle initiative has achieved immense success, reinforcing Bahrain’s commitment to swift emergency response. The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, recently visited the National Ambulance Centre to oversee its operations and assess the preparedness of its services. The visit was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, Major-General Adel Ameen.
Lt-General Al Hassan praised the unwavering support of His Excellency, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, for the National Ambulance project. He commended the Minister’s dedication to enhancing emergency medical services to ensure rapid and efficient responses to critical situations.
Highlighting the significance of the National Ambulance project, the Chief noted that it was developed according to global standards, incorporating international expertise in emergency medicine. The initiative aims to align with advancements in ambulance services and safety measures worldwide.
The launch of the First Responder for Ambulance Motorcycle was a key focus of the visit, with Lt-General Al Hassan emphasizing its role in expediting emergency response times. The initiative is particularly crucial for navigating high-traffic areas and narrow streets across all governorates, ensuring medical assistance reaches those in need without delay.
The Chief reaffirmed the Interior Ministry’s commitment to innovative strategies that enhance emergency response services. He also highlighted the strong collaboration between the National Ambulance, government hospitals, Bahrain Defence Force Hospital, King Hamad University Hospital, and Mohammed Bin Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre. These partnerships play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient transfers and high-quality medical assistance.
During the visit, the Chief reviewed key statistics from the National Ambulance Centre, assessing the effectiveness of emergency response efforts. He was briefed on the ProQA system, which categorizes emergency cases based on medical priority, enhancing operational efficiency. The introduction of the First Responder for Ambulance Motorcycle has been recognized as a milestone in improving the speed and quality of emergency medical services.
Additionally, Lt-General Al Hassan visited the operations room of the National Ambulance Centre, where he was informed about performance indicators and the mechanisms for dispatching ambulances. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of all National Ambulance affiliates in strengthening Bahrain’s emergency medical response system and ensuring public safety.
