Land for motorbike and quad bike track approved in Southern Governorate

The Southern Municipal Council approved yesterday plans to allocate land for a motorbike and quad bike track in the Southern Governorate.
Councillor Hassan Saqer Al Doseri, who proposed the idea, said the track would give riders a dedicated space, keeping them off roads and other unsafe areas. “This will be a controlled environment where safety comes first,” he said. “Riders will need a valid licence, bikes will be inspected before use, and full protective gear including helmets, gloves, and boots will be mandatory.”
The project is expected to attract riders from across the governorate and beyond.
Al Doseri noted that with Bahrain’s National Sports Day held annually, the track could serve as a venue for related events.
