Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy, H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, reaffirmed the deep-rooted historical relations and strong fraternal bonds between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait. He emphasized the continuous growth and prosperity of these ties across various sectors, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait.

The remarks were made during the signing ceremony of a financing agreement for the second phase of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Street Development Project. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Bahrain by H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and on behalf of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development by Acting Director General Mr. Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar. The event was attended by Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

On this occasion, H.E. the Minister of Finance and National Economy highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to advancing developmental programs aimed at enhancing infrastructure and fostering an environment conducive to economic growth. He stressed that such initiatives drive economic expansion and create high-quality opportunities in line with Bahrain’s strategic development goals.

H.E. Shaikh Salman also praised Kuwait’s continuous support for Bahrain’s development projects, particularly the contributions of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in financing and supporting various economic and infrastructure initiatives across the Arab world.

The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Street Development Project (Phase Two) is one of Bahrain’s strategic infrastructure projects. The roadway serves as a vital link between the Southern Governorate and the capital, catering to industrial, residential, and commercial areas. The project includes the expansion of the street over a total length of 11 kilometers, the creation of service roads on both sides to facilitate access to commercial and administrative buildings, as well as the construction of five overpasses.
