The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced the launch of a final review investigation by the Technical Secretariat Office for Anti-Injurious Practices in International Trade of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) into the anti-dumping duties imposed on imports of ceramic tiles and slabs into GCC member states, including the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The investigation covers ceramic tiles and slabs used for flooring, wall cladding, or fireplaces – including mounted tiles and finishing ceramics such as ceramic and porcelain tiles – classified under Harmonised System Code (69073000) of the GCC Common Customs Tariff, and produced or exported from China and India.

Investigation

The investigation is being conducted pursuant to Law (48) of 2011 approving the Amended GCC Common Law on Antidumping, Countervailing Measures and Safeguards Measures and its Executive Regulations.

The ministry invites all manufacturers and importers in the Kingdom dealing with the products listed under the specified customs code, and wishing to participate in the investigation, to register as interested parties.

They are requested to complete the relevant forms and submit them via email to tsad@gccsg.org within 40 days from the date of receipt of the forms.
