The Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced the launch of an online subscription service for private postal boxes through Bahrain Post’s website. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of postal services for both citizens and residents by automating processes and transitioning them to smart electronic systems, ultimately improving customer satisfaction by ensuring quick and seamless transactions.
Dr. Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Hidan, Assistant Undersecretary for Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, emphasized that this new digital service enables citizens and residents to easily subscribe to or cancel postal box subscriptions through Bahrain Post’s dedicated platform, without the need to visit postal centers in person. The service also allows users to select their postal box number through an interactive map and choose the nearest branch to their home or business, among other features, within a user-friendly interface.
Dr. Al-Hidan further noted that the Ministry remains committed to its comprehensive plan for developing the postal sector. This includes focusing on human resource development, improving services and infrastructure, and supporting the digital transformation, in line with the government's efforts to enhance services and contribute to sustainable development. The initiative aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
