Omani-Bahraini Bazaar Kicks Off with 30 Exhibitors from Both Nations

The Omani-Bahraini Bazaar officially opened at Oman Mall in Muscat, under the patronage of H.E. Qais bin Muhammad Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman. The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Oman, Mrs. Radina bint Amer Al-Hajriya, Chairperson of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, as well as a number of esteemed diplomats, officials, civil society representatives, local media, and members of the Bahraini community in Muscat.

The event, which runs until March 26, is organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Bahraini Embassy in Oman. It features 30 exhibitors, including 17 Omani and 13 Bahraini entrepreneurs showcasing a variety of products ranging from fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani frankincense, Omani and Bahraini sweets, accessories, and traditional handicrafts, all reflecting the cultural heritage of both nations, as well as essential family products.

This exhibition is a testament to the deep-rooted, historic relations between the two nations, reflecting the shared commitment of the leadership in both countries to foster closer ties and cooperation across various sectors. The event aims to support entrepreneurs in both countries, helping them create job opportunities, boost trade exchanges, and foster partnerships through trade fairs in various fields. It aligns with the goals of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and Oman's Vision 2040, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurs in economic development, opening new markets, and promoting trade between the two nations.

H.E. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman, emphasized that this exhibition underscores Bahrain's dedication to supporting its entrepreneurs, enhancing their output, and boosting their contribution to the national economy. He noted that the event is a reflection of the strong Bahraini-Omani relations and aligns with the directives of the leadership in both nations to deepen cooperation in all sectors. The exhibition also reflects the outcomes of the historic visit of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman in January of this year.

Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Kaabi praised the growing trade relations and the increasing cooperation between the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of both countries. He emphasized that such events add significant value to the relationship between Muscat and Manama, serving as a model for how relations between brotherly nations should evolve.

For her part, Mrs. Radina bint Amer Al-Hajriya, Chairperson of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, highlighted that the exhibition is the result of collaboration between the Bahraini Embassy in Oman and the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. She reiterated that organizing such events is a key priority for the association, adding that it represents a valuable contribution to the economy of both countries by supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs, fostering economic and trade momentum between Oman and Bahrain.

The event is expected to provide a platform for strengthening economic, cultural, and commercial ties between the two nations, marking a significant milestone in their longstanding friendship.
