Stage set for Bahraini Youth Day celebration today

As Bahraini Youth Day is celebrated today, the Kingdom’s youth will be highlighted as a model of dedication recognised both regionally and globally.

The event is observed annually on March 25.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), emphasised the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in empowering Bahraini youth in contributing to the development of various sectors.

HH Shaikh Nasser noted that the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has made youth empowerment a top priority, recognising the role of young people in shaping the future and driving sustainable development.

Effective contributor

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, affirmed that Bahraini youth are a major and effective contributor to the comprehensive development process witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

She praised the efforts, contributions and effective contributions of the youth within Team Bahrain, and their competence and excellence, in light of the support they receive from the royl leadership.

Achievements

MP Hassan Ebrahim Hassan praised the achievements of young Bahrainis overseas, saying they have proudly carried Bahrain’s name abroad.

“They’ve stood on podiums, pushed past setbacks, and turned ideas and plans into real results everyone can see,” he said. “It shows their strength of character and their sheer determination.”

Mr. Mark Thomas, CEO of Bapco Energies, emphasised the company’s commitment to initiatives that invest in young national talent as part of the group’s strategy for achieving sustainable growth and innovation, while strengthening the role of Bahraini youth in developing national companies and contributing to the national economy.

Thomas stated, “The journey of Bahraini youth has witnessed an extraordinary developmental renaissance due to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, may God protect him, and the direct follow-up and attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, making youth today an essential and active component in the comprehensive developmental journey, thereby enhancing the sustainability of various state sectors.”
