Investing in youth’s skills a ‘key national priority’

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasised confidence in the capabilities of Bahraini youth, noting that investing in their skills remains a key national priority.
HM the King affirmed that the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain embody national pride and aspiration, representing the true foundation of the Kingdom’s progress.
His Majesty King was speaking yesterday as he congratulated the youth on the occasion of Bahraini Youth Day, observed annually on March 25.
Foundation for development
He noted that the designation of March 25 as Bahraini Youth Day, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) in 1975, underscores the role of Bahraini youth and their efforts as a foundation for national development.
His Majesty called on Bahraini youth to uphold the Kingdom’s achievements, promote coexistence and tolerance, and continue supporting its progress.
He also wished them success in achieving their goals and contributing to the Kingdom’s future.
HM King Hamad highlighted the successful launch of the “Al Munther” satellite, led by Bahraini youth, as one of their most notable achievements this year, which reflects the ambition and determination of the Kingdom’s youth across various sectors.
Strategic programmes
He commended the government’s efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its strategic programmes aimed at investing in youth skills and enhancing their role in national development.
HM the King also commended the contributions of the SCYS, led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, in formulating and executing effective strategies that have positioned the Kingdom of Bahrain as a regional and international hub for creativity and excellence.
