Jaafari Endowments Complete Renovations of Imam Ali Mosque in Saar

In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, the Jaafari Endowments announced the successful completion of comprehensive renovations at the Imam Ali Mosque (PBUH) in Saar. This renovation is part of the larger initiative to inaugurate, restore, and renovate 40 mosques under the administration of both the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments across Bahrain’s various governorates.
The ceremony, which marked the completion of the restoration project, was attended by key figures including Mr. Abduljalil Ibrahim Al-Turaifi, Deputy Chairman of the Jaafari Endowments Council; Brigadier Abdullah Ali Rashid Ma'ntar, Deputy Governor of the Northern Governorate; Dr. Sayyid Shabr Al-Wadai, Chairman of the Northern Municipal Council; as well as other members of the Jaafari Endowments Council. During the event, the administration also announced the opening of Sheikh Ibrahim Mosque in the Arad area.
In his address at the inauguration, Abduljalil Ibrahim Al-Turaifi expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continuous follow-up from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in the development and upkeep of Bahrain’s religious structures. He highlighted the vital role that places of worship play in nurturing communities and instilling values aligned with Islamic Sharia. Al-Turaifi also acknowledged the leadership’s ongoing commitment to fostering charitable initiatives, underscoring the Kingdom’s support for humanitarian projects.
Al-Turaifi further emphasized that the directive from HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister has brought immense joy to the local community, inspiring efforts to enhance the restoration and upkeep of mosques across Bahrain. He commended the success of the mosque development plan, noting its positive impact in improving the services provided at religious sites.
He also expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, as well as other government agencies. Their effective teamwork enabled the timely completion of these renovation projects, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
Looking ahead, Al-Turaifi revealed that the Jaafari Endowments Council had approved a comprehensive plan for the ongoing maintenance and preparation of mosques, with five mosques set to be renovated each month. He reiterated the importance of teamwork in fulfilling the leadership’s vision and meeting the aspirations of the local community.
