New Rest Area in Hoora

Eng. Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs at the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture, highlighted the importance of ongoing collaboration with the private sector in enhancing and developing municipal services. He praised the valuable role of community partnerships in supporting projects that align with the aspirations of local communities.

His remarks were made during the inauguration of a newly established rest area at Complex 646 in Hoora, a project made possible through the support of Newcastle Contracting Company. The Undersecretary emphasized the importance of this community partnership, showcasing the company's dedication to developing projects that serve the public by providing spaces that cater to the needs of both individuals and families. He also assured that the project is in line with the Ministry’s efforts to improve the urban environment in residential areas, thus enhancing the quality of life and meeting the needs of citizens.

Eng. Shaikh Mohammed elaborated that the rest area spans approximately 400 square meters, featuring a range of recreational activities, seating areas, green spaces, and other amenities designed to provide a comfortable environment for relaxation and leisure. This development contributes to enhancing the quality of life by offering the community much-needed spaces for entertainment and rest.

The opening event was attended by Eng. Isa Abdulrahman Al-Bouainin, Director-General of the Southern Governorate Municipality, Eng. Sabah Abdulkhaleq Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services, Mr. Mohammed Hussein Draj, Southern Governorate Municipal Council Member for District 4, along with representatives from Newcastle Contracting Company and other key officials.
