The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has announced that the Sharia Moon Sighting Committee will convene on the evening of Saturday, corresponding to the night of Sunday, Ramadan 29, 1446 AH (March 29, 2025).

The session will take place in the council’s meeting hall to receive reports and testimonies regarding the sighting of the Shawwal crescent.

The council has urged anyone who has witnessed or received news regarding the sighting of the crescent to promptly contact the Sharia Moon Sighting Committee to report their observations.

The official statement from the council reads as follows:

“On this blessed occasion, we extend our congratulations to those who have observed the fast and spent their nights in prayer. Blessed are those who welcome Eid with joy and generosity, those who extend their hands in charity to the needy, clothe orphans, and support the less fortunate. Such acts of kindness bring peace and happiness to the hearts of many and are met with divine acceptance, earning great rewards in the sight of Allah.

May Allah accept our fasting and worship, protect our blessed nation from all harm and strife, and grant it security, prosperity, and continued well-being under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the Answerer of Prayers.”
